I am an experienced relationship manager with a passion for data-driven design. I believe that good design should be focused on the end user’s needs, and I’m drawn to Gensler because of the firm’s global leadership in delivering evidence-based design services. Speaking to Gensler team members and reading Art’s Principles have reinforced my belief that I would thrive within Gensler’s proactive, client-driven “constellation of stars”.
In my most recent role at Dynamo, a UX-driven digital agency known for launching eCommerce websites for Blue Bottle Coffee and Glossier, I served as the first point of contact for new prospects and the key account manager. I led an internal team in the creation of personalized proposals, managed our sales opportunities using a CRM tool, generated financial projections, drafted contracts, and managed invoicing. I worked closely with the project management team to assign teams to new accounts, and to track the progress of ongoing projects. I optimized our business development process and developed a thorough sales-to-production onboarding process. I am proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with Photoshop, InDesign, Tableau and Salesforce, in addition to Squarespace and WordPress for web design.
I recently launched a website which showcases data-driven best practices in workplace design, and demonstrates my interest in moving from the digital design industry into the design of physical spaces. Gensler was one of my primary resources for this website because I was inspired by the firm’s research. I am currently in the process of completing an intensive two week course on workplace management co-hosted by the Polytechnic University of Milan and Cornell University, with the goal of further advancing my applied knowledge regarding the research-driven design of physical spaces.
As a former varsity pentathlete I’ve demonstrated a drive to excel, but more importantly, the qualities of a true team player that Gensler values. My references can attest to the fact that building meaningful relationships has been the driving force behind my career. I am looking for a place to build a career, at a company that I can continually learn and grow with. There is no other employer that makes me feel as optimistic about achieving these two objectives. I am enthusiastic about the value I could contribute as part of the Gensler team, and I look forward to discussing this opportunity with you.
